The Homestead is a master planned community located in the small town of Sunnyvale on the east side of Dallas that was originally constructed in 1999.  Sunnyvale is one of the top school districts in North Texas.  The original developer built 290 lots, but did not complete the final several phases of the development.  Wynne/Jackson established a relationship with the family that owned the land as part of an original assemblage of over 1,000 acres and commenced the resurrection of the development with a phase of 46 lots for K. Hovnanian Homes.  This section of lots was delivered in April 2015 and two subsequent phases will follow.  MI Homes, Our Country Homes and Southgate Homes are currently constructing homes over $450,000 on lots that are a minimum of 100’ in width.

Section 6 of the development contains 33 lots.  Section 3a is currently under construction with a targeted completion date of April 2018.
